The short version
Section 1
By accessing or using tuzama ("the platform", "we", "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
Section 2
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use tuzama.
Section 3
tuzama is a listings directory that allows landlords and property agents ("landlords") to post rental and sale listings, and renters ("renters") to browse and contact landlords directly. tuzama is not an estate agency or broker, does not act on behalf of either party in any negotiation, does not verify property ownership or listing accuracy beyond what's stated in Section 4, and does not participate in or take any commission or fee from a rental transaction. All communication, viewing, negotiation, and agreement happens directly between landlord and renter, entirely off-platform.
Section 4
You must create an account to post listings (as a landlord) or to view contact details (as a renter). You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must provide accurate information when registering.
Section 5
Landlords are solely responsible for the accuracy and legality of their listings. By posting a listing, you confirm that:
tuzama reserves the right to remove any listing that violates these conditions or is otherwise deemed inappropriate.
Section 6
tuzama does not facilitate, process, or hold any payments between landlords and renters, and does not charge or accept any commission, fee, or percentage tied to a completed rental transaction. Any financial arrangements (deposits, rent payments, agency fees) are made entirely between the parties involved. tuzama accepts no liability for such transactions.
Section 7
We do not verify the accuracy of listing information. Renters should exercise their own due diligence before entering into any rental agreement. Always view a property in person before committing to any payment.

You retain ownership of any content (listing descriptions, photos) you upload. By posting content, you grant tuzama a license to display it on the platform for the purpose of operating the service. You confirm you have the rights to any photos or content you upload.
Section 10
tuzama provides the platform "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any losses or damages arising from your use of the platform, interactions with other users, or the accuracy of any listing content.
Section 11
You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or misuse the platform.
Section 12
These Terms are governed by the laws of Kenya, as tuzama's platform and user base are focused on the Kenyan rental market.
Section 13
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
