01 / For Renters

Renting with Tuzama

Common questions from renters about browsing, contacting landlords, and how the platform works.

Is Tuzama free to use?

Yes. Browsing listings and contacting landlords through Tuzama is completely free for renters.

How do I contact a landlord?

Create a free account, open a listing you're interested in, and tap to reveal the landlord's contact details (phone, WhatsApp, and/or email, whichever they've enabled). From there, you reach out and arrange everything directly with them.

Does Tuzama arrange visits or handle payments?

No. Tuzama is a directory. We connect you with the landlord and step back. Visits, negotiations, deposits, and rent payments all happen directly between you and the landlord, off-platform.

How do I know a listing is legit?

Every listing goes through a review before it's approved and published, so obviously fake or incomplete listings get caught early. That said, always do your own due diligence too. See our Safety and Trust tips for what to check before you send anyone money.

Can I save listings to look at later?

Not yet. Saved listings are on our roadmap. For now, bookmark the listing page in your browser.

02 / For Landlords

Listing with Tuzama

Everything landlords need to know about posting properties and communicating with potential tenants.

Is it free to post a listing?

Yes, posting a listing on Tuzama is currently free.

How do renters get in touch with me?

When you post a listing, you choose which contact details to make visible. Phone, WhatsApp, and/or email. Only logged-in renters can view them, and they'll reach out to you directly.

Does Tuzama vet listings?

Every listing is reviewed before it goes live to keep the platform genuine. We don't currently screen or vet renters themselves, that part stays between you and whoever contacts you.

Can I edit or take down my listing?

Yes, you can edit or remove your listing any time from your account dashboard.

Does Tuzama take a commission if I find a tenant?

No, never. Tuzama doesn't charge or accept any commission or fee on a completed rental, whether you're listing as a landlord or an agent. Renters contact you directly, with no middleman involved in the transaction itself.
